March is #DevelopmentMonth across Sportsbet and we’ve been running a variety of initiatives to keep development front of mind for all team members.
Being curious, ambitious and thirsty for learning is pretty standard for all Sportsbettors. Fortunately, when it comes to development we’ve got a super-charged focus and have lots of great options for people to satisfy this learning ‘appetite’.
Our differentiated development strategy gives employees the tools and opportunities to own their own career. Now they can continuously access the insights and skills that interest them most, where they want, at the pace they want.
Last week, we launched LinkedIn Learning which gives all Sportsbet employees access to over 5,000 online courses from leading global subject matter experts, available whenever they need it.
Not only that, but we have a whole range of other development options available to our people to ensure they are constantly challenging themselves. As part of our monthly “Culture Camps” we have awesome speakers coming in to share their insights and learning across a broad range of areas including, most recently, accomplished and inspiring athlete, Nadine Champion, and innovative entrepreneur, Matt Michalewicz.
Learning takes many forms and our Golden Ticket program gives people the opportunity to attend conferences that they might not ordinarily get the chance to go to. We’ve just announced more of our Golden Ticket winners who are off to the World Business Forum and the Business of Sport conference in Sydney. Being able to hear from thought leaders and develop connections with people who share your interest can be invaluable.
And, as if that wasn’t enough, we have also just launched new talent programs that will build on the capability of our Specialists and People Leaders in our business and also give employees access to both internal and external mentors. We’re fortunate to be partnering with Everwise who are connecting our people with world class external mentors.
There’s a whole lot of career development going on at Sportsbet and that’s how we like it!
