It’s been a while between blogs but that’s only because there has been so much on at Sportsbet HQ!
We’re winding down 2016 now with many of our teams heading away for the Christmas break. They were sent off in style with a cracking party complete with food trucks, fair ground games and, of course, heaps of tunes on the dance floor!
But as we look back on 2016 and prepare for 2017 we’ll be remembering more than just a party. Over the last few weeks Sportsbettors from across the company have come together as we enjoyed the Spring Carnival racing season, thought about our goals in 2017, how our leaders and future leaders could develop their coach skills and some of the extra curricular focuses for us in the year ahead that are no less important. In particular the work we have done with some of our charity partners has been so important for team members as well as the charities themselves. We were thrilled, and subsequently blown away, by Dan Clohesy from the Mirabel Foundation who spoke at our end of year Town Hall this week. He shared some powerful stories with us about the incredible work done by Mirabel and how much they still have to do. We can’t wait to work with them more in 2017
One of our highlights was being acknowledged by JobAdvisor as one of their Top 10 Coolest Companies in Australia for Diversity. This is something that is at the core of values and integral to how we work. We can’t wait to do even more next year to become #1!
Congratulations are in order for our individual and team High Rollers who demonstrated and brought to life our values of Integrity, Collaboration, Low Ego, Agility and Relentless Will to Win across the year. These values underpin how we roll and are clearly visible from the moment you walk through the Sportsbet doors
There is so much to come in 2017 and we’re really excited to share it with you all. We wish you all the very best for the rest of 2016 and look forward to smashing 2017!!!
